International Youth Exchange Programme

The International Youth Exchange Programme stands as a remarkable endeavor orchestrated by Lions International. A collaborative effort between District 323182 and District 323184 led to the joint organization of the transformative Youth Change Camp in the year 2223. Spearheading this initiative was Lion Pravin Sarnaik, who assumed the role of Youth Exchange Chairman and overseer of this impactful venture. Demonstrating dedication and enthusiasm, Lion Pravin Sarnaik facilitated the participation of 23 Indian youths in diverse overseas camps, fostering cross-cultural connections and experiences.

Reciprocally, the initiative welcomed 17 young individuals from 13 different countries to the enriching India Heritage Camp. The backdrop for this exchange was set in Alibag, where the journey commenced with the youths embarking on an exploration that took them through the vibrant locales of Delhi and the historical marvels of Agra, culminating in their arrival at Alibag.

A splendid seven-day camp unfolded in the picturesque confines of Alibag, offering the participants a spectrum of captivating experiences. The Lions Club of Mandva orchestrated a meaningful tree plantation event, aligning with the mission to cultivate environmental consciousness among the international youths. Furthermore, a delightful sojourn to Kankeshwar was orchestrated, complemented by a delectable lunch and an excursion to Khandeshwar, which collectively added an extra layer of cultural immersion and enjoyment.

Playing the role of gracious hosts, the Lions Club of Alibag orchestrated an array of engaging activities that contributed to the holistic development and intercultural bonding of the participants. Collaborative efforts extended beyond the shores of Alibag, with the Diamond Lions Club of Mandava and the Lions Club of Kapoli coming together to enhance the scope and impact of the camp.

The International Youth Exchange Programme, championed by Lions International and under the astute guidance of Lion Pravin Sarnaik, successfully encapsulated the essence of cultural exchange, fostering global understanding and unity. Through this remarkable journey, lasting memories were forged, friendships were kindled, and horizons were broadened, leaving an indelible mark on all those involved.
